Dave Scott

I'm Dave Scott. I went to Woodstock in August 1969 just before entering OWU that Fall. I played in Blues/Rock Bands before during & after OWU. Lived at Selby. Also went to UMASS Amherst and graduated from University of Southern Maine with a degree in Social Work. I became a casualty insurance claim adjuster then in claims management. I became a black belt in Tae Kwon Do, a world-class reptile expert, published and recorded songwriter, played lead guitar & sang in bands from Maine to California, delivered my 4th child at home and assisted with the other 3.

I believe it was 1970 or '71 when my friend Chip was tripping on acid, shook the terminus power pole at the Selby parking lot, and blew the transformer with a boom and a shower of sparks which knocked out the power and lights on campus during a Gray Chapel concert.

The best concert I ever saw (except for Woodstock) was Mountain / Jethro Tull who played at Selby Stadium I believe in 1971. Guitarist Leslie West of Mountain and Jimi Hendrix were and still are my guitar heros. I'm age 71 at the time of this writing in September of 2022.
