My Story

I was born and raised in Mexico City. Attended a small Catholic boarding school for high school.
Attended OWU all 4 years and was very involved in the Christian fellowship there.

Moved to the DC area after college and am still here. I got married to Ken in 1980. I held various jobs such as working at the First National Bank of Washington in the International Department, The Psychiatric Associates, and church treasurer for 27 years.


I am now retired.
Since the boys left home my biggest pass time has been ballroom dancing.
I have even entered some competitions and performed some showcases.

I also do a lot of volunteer work at Orphan Grain Train in Maryland.

I remember all the Bible studies we had at your apartment as well. One of my favorite memories was when Nancy Matthews and I came in with a shoe box which held a "string" which we had all learned that people called snakes "strings". We threw the box at Pete and he jumped on your couch fearing a snake,.... and it was a string !!!

WIsh I had made it to the reunion !!

Hi Paul this is Laurie Wright. I met the first week of Freshman year when Kae Rowland (who was my roommate) brought you to our room. You had met at the Freshman orientation dance that evening. I was the gal from Mexico City !
Anyway, Kae and I are still in touch even tho she left OWU at the end of Freshmen year.

I did not make it to the reunion but did spend much time looking over photos of everyone.
