Jean Fox-Good, 61, of Chesapeake, Virginia, passed away August 26th, 2012 surrounded by family. She was born on January 17, 1951, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of late Lora and Stuart MacMullen. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan with a bachelor’s degree in 1973 and went on to graduate with her Masters in English from Winthrop University in South Carolina in 1978.
Jean had many talents and many jobs over the years, but her real calling was teaching. She taught middle school English, tutored, mentored 1st year teachers for Regent University, and scored SAT's for NCS Pearson.
Jean enjoyed traveling, especially to exotic destinations, but her favorite place was Ocracoke Island, NC.
She is survived by her husband David Good, whom she married on June 2nd, 2001, her two daughters Heather Fox, and Allison Smith, her brother Bruce MacMullen, and her loving furry companion, Hally. She was preceded in death by her sister Diane Meibaum.
A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday August 31 at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1416 Cedar Road, Chesapeake. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service from 3-4 p.m. Online condolences may be shared with the family at www.hdoliver.com
