Judy Winters (Dennis)

Judy Winters Dennis moved on to the great choir in heaven on April 8, 2005. She was preceded in death by her parents James C. and Betty C. Winters. Survived by her children, Kimberly D. (Kurt) Stuckenbrock and Richard James (Cristine Robarge) Dennis and their father Walter Dennis; sisters, Gwen W. (Steven W.) Dunn, Gail W. (James) Mendenhall and Patricia W. (Wesley) Smith; niece, Taylor Mendenhall; nephews, Patrick Smith, Daniel Smith, Ryan Dunn and Collin Dunn. Judy is also survived by her faithful pet golden retriever, Murphy.

She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree. She earned her medical technologist degree at The Ohio State University and later in life became a certified Massage Therapist. Judy taught Anatomy and Physiology at Central Ohio School of Message. 

She was a member of the Childhood League board nine and served as Merry Go Round chairman. She was also a member of Upper Arlington Lutheran Church. 

Judy performed with the New Folk Singers from 1967 until 1976. As the solo female vocalist, she performed with the group on the All-American College Talent show and toured Vietnam and Thailand with the USO in support of our troops in 1969. Her legacy will be one of song and love. The world was a happier and better place whenever Judy took to the stage to perform. She will be lovingly remembered by all those whose lives she touched. 

Visitation will be held from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Schodinger Northwest Chapel, 1740 Zollinger Road. A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 13, 2005 at Upper Arlington Lutheran Church, 2300 Lytham Road. A private enurnment will be held for the family at a later date at Union Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to the Childhood League Center, 670 South 18th Street, Columbus, OH 43205 or to HomeReach Hospice, 3595 Olentangy River Road, Columbus, OH 43214.
