Jay Edward Athy, 66, died March 21, 2017, due to complications of Parkinson's Disease. Jay was born in Delaware, Ohio on March 14, 1951, to Richard and Pat Athy, now deceased. The family moved to Baltimore, Maryland, which Jay considered his hometown.
Besides many dear friends, Jay is survived by his brother, Chris Athy (Jaye), sons Sam and Kevin Athy, nephew Connor Athy, his former wife and friend, Carolyn Dennis, her husband, John Schaaf, and their son, Logan Schaaf, as well as numerous Buds.
Jay valued his professional practice as a PhD Licensed Psychologist; loved his annual baseball trips with the Buds, as well as the UK Wildcats, dogs ("doogies") and White Russians.
